Where We Started
The genesis of Siren Marine stemmed from CEO and Founder Captain Daniel Harper's realization that most of the significant problems that occur on boats start small and continue to manifest when left unattended. Harper’s solution was to develop a cellular-based device that would be connected to the boat's bilge and battery, and would "text" him on-shore if a critical event occurred. Following the success of the early prototypes, Harper set out to make his groundbreaking product available to the world. This marked the start of Siren Marine in 2011.

Daniel Harper, Founder
Founder, Daniel Harper, described himself as both a lifelong, waterborne adventurer and die-hard electronics enthusiast. His mantra was "do what you love.”
Early on in his career, Harper was a marine professional and captain with experience sailing all over the globe, overseeing luxury fleets and restoring classic sailboats.
Over time, he found himself drawn to his love of technology. His journey had led him to become an IoT pioneer – connecting marine assets, devices & data – and ultimately, bringing his two passions together to lead Siren Marine.
Harper's wealth of boating, electronics, telecommunications and business experience was unparalleled in the marine industry, positioning Siren Marine for continued success.
