Posted by Sam Handy on

Siren Marine is proud to announce that its revolutionary new MTC™ vessel monitoring and tracking system has been selected as a nominee for the prestigious 2017 DAME Design Award in the Marine Electronics and Marine Related Software category.   Judging of finalists and the announcement of category winners will take place during METS (Marine Equipment Trade Show), scheduled for November 14-16, 2017 at RAI Amsterdam, the Netherlands.   Now in its 27th year, the DAME Design Award is judged by a panel of top naval architects, boat, interior and industrial designers, and user experts.

The MTC (which stands for Monitor/Track/Control), was selected from among dozens of qualified entries from around the world.  According to the awards committee, “the DAME Design Award is the largest competition of its kind, anywhere in the world.  It focuses attention on the art and science of design in all aspects, from styling, functionality, and innovation, through to ease of implementation, practicality of use — and even packaging.”

“Being selected among the finalists is in itself an honor and recognition of the hard work many people have put into this innovative product,” said Siren Marine COO Jonathan Banks.   “We’re proud of the fact that with the recent launch of our MTC, we’ve given the marine industry a product that is technologically innovative, widely practical and elegantly designed.    We’re confident the MTC will be the launching point for a Connected Boat™ Revolution around the world — and this industry recognition confirms our beliefs,” added Banks.
